Training Description

Ignite the Spark through Project-Based Learning 
Length of Training - Two-part series 2 hours and one hour follow up session

Participants are REQUIRED TO ATTEND ALL TRAININGS in the series and complete assignments in between training.    

This training includes a one-hour follow-up session where participants will showcase their project plans.  


Part 1 - Conducting Project-based learning in OST  

Part 2 - Project Showcase  

    

Have you ever wondered how to empower youth to develop their own projects based on their interests and curiosity? This training will introduce you to project-based learning and explore the benefits and challenges of youth choosing their own projects. We will walk you through step-by-step how to implement the components of project-based learning and show you how youth learn through real-world situations and activities.

Training Objectives:   

  1. Describe Project-Based Learning   
  2. Examine the three phases of Project-Based Learning   
  3. Design and implementation plan for Project-Based Learning in your program  

CEU Information

Upon successful completion of this training / series (see requirements below), the participant can earn up to 4 clock hours (.4 CEUs) of training.

 
If requesting CEUs, participants must check the box below and enter their registry ID number.
 
Participants must be Prime Time registry members in order to receive CEUs for trainings.

Participants must actively participate during the training (i.e., regular communication verbally and/or through chat, both in large group discussions and breakout rooms), attend the required minutes of the training with video on, pass the post quiz with a 70% or higher, complete all assignments satisfactorily and verify their registry member number (virtual) or ID (in-person) to receive CEUs for this training.
