Engaging Teens Series

Length of Training - Two-part series 90 mins each

Delivery Style

Please note: Only afterschool practitioners working with middle school, high school, or fifth grade elementary youth should register for this training.

Participants are REQUIRED TO ATTEND ALL TRAININGS in the series and complete assignments in between trainings.

Part 1 - Why Necessary

Part 2 - Charting Your Course

In this age of distraction, getting the attention of teens can seem nearly impossible. However, with the right knowledge and approach, it can be done! In this two-part training, you will learn how to engage middle school youth in a way that empowers and motivates them. You will also explore the developmental features of the adolescent brain and receive strategies for developing fun programs and activities that keep teens coming back.

Upon successful completion of this training series and follow-up assignment(s), the participant can earn up to .5 CEUs of training.

Develop a project charter to help guide the process of improving teen engagement.

CEU Information

Upon successful completion of this training series and follow up assignment(s), the participant can earn up to 5 clock hours (.5 CEUs) of training.

If requesting CEUs, participants must check the box below and enter their registry ID number.

Participants must be Prime Time registry members in order to receive CEUs for trainings.

Participants must complete all assignments satisfactorily, attend all sessions of this training series, miss no more than 15 minutes of total training time and actively participate during training sessions to receive CEUs for this training series.
