Well-being and STEAM: Perfect Together

Length of Training – 2hours

Prerequisite: Participants must have completed Prime Time's STEAM Cohort or Well Being and Life Skills Cohort.

What happens when curiosity meets self-discovery? Powerful learning! In this hands-on training, you'll learn how to blend STEAM with well-being and life skills to create experiences that help youth better navigate the world around them while building confidence, resilience, and critical thinking. Discover practical strategies that combine inquiry, neuroscience, and meaningful conversations to help youth self-reflect more deeply, investigate the world around them more independently, make better decisions and connections between their experiences and everyday life, all while building confidence. You'll leave with ready to use tools and fresh ideas to create engaging experiences that strengthen character and prepare youth to thrive in school and life.  

Training Objectives

Participants will:

Learn the art of inquiry and reflective dialogue with adults and youth.
Connect understanding of natural world experiences to intrapersonal and interpersonal skill-building and growth.
Plan lessons that integrate Well-being and Life Skills and STEAM activities

Training Outcomes

Participants will:

Integrate reflective dialogue in both Well-being and STEAM activities.
Apply scientific inquiry in Well-being and STEAM activities.
Facilitate OST lessons incorporating three to five questions to empower youth led self-inquiry and problem-solving in real world situation.

CEU Information

Upon successful completion of this training / series (see requirements below), the participant can earn up to 2 clock hours (.2 CEUs) of training.

If requesting CEUs, participants must check the box below and enter their registry ID number.

Participants must be Prime Time registry members in order to receive CEUs for trainings.

Participants must actively participate during the training (i.e., regular communication verbally and/or through chat, both in large group discussions and breakout rooms), attend the required minutes of the training with video on, pass the post quiz with a 70% or higher, complete all assignments satisfactorily and verify their registry member number (virtual) or ID (in-person) to receive CEUs for this training.

Media Consent
