Inspire and Grow: Tools for Youth Development

        Length of Training - 2 hours  


This dynamic training is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and tools needed to foster positive youth development in out-of-school time settings. You will gain an understanding of the core principles of youth development and how they apply to you work in the out-of-school time field. You will also learn how to effectively utilize a web-based resource to create plans that engage youth in developmentally appropriate activities that promote their growth and well-being. By the end of the training, you will leave with practical ways to actively support youth aligned to best practices in youth development that will enhance their engagement, learning, and personal development. 

 

Upon successful completion of this training, the participant will earn 2.0 clock hours (.2 CEUs) of training.   

  

Training Objectives   

Participants will: 

  1. Explain the tenets of positive youth development as it relates to out-of-school time.  
  2. Utilize a web-based resource to develop a plan to actively engage youth in developmentally appropriate activities.  
  3. Discover research-based strategies to effectively facilitate learning experiences for youth.

CEU Information

Upon successful completion of this training, the participant will earn 2.0clock hours  (.2 CEUs) of training.

 

If requesting CEUs, participants must check the box below and enter their registry ID number.


Participants must not miss more than 5 minutes of total training time, earn a 70% or higher on the post training quiz, and actively participate during training sessions to receive CEUs  for this training.
