Training Description

Connecting the DOTS: Building Positive Team Culture 

Length of training: 1 hour 

One idea, one hour. Learn key skills and practical principles in 60 minutes. 

 

Connecting the DOTS (Directors Only Training Space) provides targeted training and support to new and seasoned directors and assistant directors in the OST field. These quarterly training sessions will touch on leadership techniques and tips that will help directors expand their impact in support of best practices for their programs for quality programming, staff development, and personal leadership growth. 

 

This training is focused on strategies for building a positive team environment and improving staff engagement by Strengthening program culture.  Staff who feel connected to their team’s culture are 55% less likely to be actively looking for another job.  Drop in for this 60-minute session to connect with other Directors to collaborate and learn how you can create a positive environment for staff in your program.     

 

Please note: This management level training’s intended audience is for directors, managers, and those who are tasked with providing coaching supports/observations to front line practitioners.  

 

Training Objectives   

Participants will:   

  1. Comprehend key principles for building a positive culture in your program. 
  2. Identify strategies to support engagement and teamwork with your staff. 

CEU Information

Upon successful completion of this training / series (see requirements below), the participant can earn up to 1 clock hours (.1 CEUs) of training.

 
If requesting CEUs, participants must check the box below and enter their registry ID number.
 
Participants must be Prime Time registry members in order to receive CEUs for trainings.

Participants must actively participate during the training (i.e., regular communication verbally and/or through chat, both in large group discussions and breakout rooms), attend the required minutes of the training with video on, pass the post quiz with a 70% or higher, complete all assignments satisfactorily and verify their registry member number (virtual) or ID (in-person) to receive CEUs for this training.
