Full STEAM Ahead with Teens

Length of Training - 120 minutes

Learn how to strengthen teen collaboration and leadership skills through STEAM. Hands-on STEAM activities are an effective way to engage young people in learning as they discover, create and problem-solve together in OST spaces.

Full STEAM Ahead with Teens is an experiential learning session designed to equip you with resources and strategies that foster exploration, confidence and leadership with young people in your programs. Youth development strategies that encourage active participation and leadership will be modeled throughout the training and integrated in engaging STEAM activities that can be easily implemented with curious teens.

Training Objectives:

Participants will:

Practitioners will develop a toolkit of strategies to encourage belonging and leadership in young people at their sites.
Practitioners will evaluate STEAM curriculum and resources that are appropriate for their program site.

CEU Information

Upon successful completion of this training / series (see requirements below), the participant can earn up to 2 clock hours (.2 CEUs) of training.

If requesting CEUs, participants must check the box below and enter their registry ID number.

Participants must be Prime Time registry members in order to receive CEUs for trainings.

Participants must actively participate during the training (i.e., regular communication verbally and/or through chat, both in large group discussions and breakout rooms), attend the required minutes of the training with video on, pass the post quiz with a 70% or higher, complete all assignments satisfactorily and verify their registry member number (virtual) or ID (in-person) to receive CEUs for this training.
