Resilient Leadership Series

Length of Training - Two-part series 2 hours each

This series is only being offered to OST Directors and Activity Leaders from the previous and incoming cohort sites.     

 

Participants are REQUIRED TO ATTEND ALL TRAININGS in the series and complete two modeling sessions at their program site and assignments in between trainings.    

 

Part 1 - Resilient Leadership: Leading from Within 

Part 2 - Resilient Leadership: Leading with Compassion 

 

Resilient Leadership is a 2-part series and ongoing community of practice for OST directors, assistant directors, activity leaders and other designated site leaders whose programs are implementing Well-being and Life Skills programs and practices. Participants, both previous and incoming Well-being and Life Skills cohort leaders, learn transformational leadership practices, emotional intelligence tools, and data-informed coaching and mentoring strategies to sustain meaningful implementation and long-term impact on the socio-emotional well-being of staff and youth.  

 

Leading from Within - Part 1 

Training Objectives 

Participants will: 

  1. Identify Well-being and Life Skills cohort goals, intended outcomes, evidence-based strategies, program commitments and Prime Time supports. 
  2. Experience well-being, resiliency and life skills instruction in a real-time Morning/Afternoon Meeting. 
  3. Problem-solve potential challenges and share best practices with peers across OST communities and plan for implementation and / or continuous improvement. 

 

Training Outcomes 

Participants will: 

  1. Schedule quarterly planning meeting within one week of the training to meet well-being, resiliency and life skills implementation goals. 
  2. Allocate time on OST schedule to dedicated explicit instruction of well-being and life skills within one week of the training.  
  3. Incorporate at least one adult well-being learning and practice among program staff within one week from the training. 

 

Leading with Compassion - Part 2 

Training Objectives 

Participants will:   

  1. Review cohort goals, intended outcomes, evidence-based strategies, program commitments and Prime Time supports.  
  2. Explore and discuss transformational socio-emotional and resilient leadership skills in a real-time Morning/Afternoon Meeting simulation.  
  3. Problem-solve potential challenges and share best practices with peers across OST communities and plan for continuous improvement.  

  

Training Outcomes 

Participants will: 

  1. Schedule quarterly planning meeting within one week of the training to meet well-being, resiliency and life skills implementation goals.  
  2. Improve and increase frequency of well-being and life skills practice and dedicated explicit instruction on the OST schedule within one week of the training.  
  3. Integrate, practice and model transformational adult well-being skills in staff interactions within one week from the training and on an ongoing basis.  

 

CEU Information

Upon successful completion of this training / series (see requirements below), the participant can earn up to 6 clock hours (.6 CEUs) of training.

 
If requesting CEUs, participants must check the box below and enter their registry ID number.
 
Participants must be Prime Time registry members in order to receive CEUs for trainings.

Participants must actively participate during the training (i.e., regular communication verbally and/or through chat, both in large group discussions and breakout rooms), attend the required minutes of the training with video on, pass the post quiz with a 70% or higher, complete all assignments satisfactorily and verify their registry member number (virtual) or ID (in-person) to receive CEUs for this training.
