Training Description

STEAM for Leaders:

Supporting Quality Informal Science in your OST Program

Length of Training - 3-part series

This leadership cohort is a "hybrid" learning experience. By registering for this series, you are committing to attending all training sessions both in-person and virtual.

For Directors and Assistant Directors only. Participants are REQUIRED TO ATTEND ALL TRAININGS in the series and complete assignments in between trainings.

Your staff are learning new STEAM strategies, and this leadership series gives you the tools to help them succeed. Designed specifically for busy afterschool leaders, this three-part training series provides the essential knowledge and practical coaching strategies you need to support staff participating in Prime Time's STEAM Cohort, without requiring the same time commitment. In just three sessions, you'll gain a clear understanding of the instructional practices, planning tools, and quality indicators that help transform STEAM activities into meaningful learning experiences for youth.

You'll learn how to build a program culture where inquiry, creativity, and problem-solving thrive while empowering staff to confidently implement engaging, hands-on STEAM experiences.

Training schedule is hybrid with one in-person session and two virtual sessions.

Part 1 is an in-person 2-hour training session. Part 2 and Part 3 are virtual 1-hour training sessions.
